admission doubt

Question

I completed my btech in 2017 from normal college.

i take drop and prepare hard for gate 2018. but still i manage to score only 50.33

my category is General.

Now i dont know what to do?

I have two options -

1) i have offerletter of tcs. so i can join and prepare again for  gate 2019

2) is any chance of getting good colleges ? college which have (1) good coding culture (2) good placement for mtech cse

plz reply seniors. I think many of you are faced similar situations.

Based on your question I assume you do not have any research interest - hence not worth trying for Research Admissions at IITs which should be done by people around your mark range.

So, options are

1. Try for IIITH/D or BITS
2. join TCS and give GATE once more - TCS people have good history in GATE
3. Dropping -- going from 50 to 70+ is not that easy. I would not recommend it unless you are fully confident. By joining TCS you have a backup and you can on the way give ISRO/BARC exams too.

how is IIIT allahabad or NIT allahabad.?

I am thinking to join one of them and prepare for gate and other exams along the way.

I am also getting the same marks. So going by the previous year cut offs and the score which we are getting this time won't IIT Gandhinagar be a better option for us?
