IIT Guwahati Counseling

Question

This year IIT-Guwahati will organize their counseling for MTech CSE Jul-19 batch on 15/May/2019. And as it is not possible for everyone to visit IITG for counseling because everyone has their own reason for example dates are clashing, 1-day difference between the Guwahati and other IITs exam, unable to get travel arrangement, etc. And thus they are providing an authorized person for attending counseling on the candidate's behalf. Last year @Arjun sir acted as an authorized person, so this year also is it possible Arjun sir?

Please, Arjun sir do something here.

Last year I was at home and could do it. Now I have a company job 😊

Also, it was $4$ of us who went and had total $24$ applications. For a proper application, the job is pretty easy. But some of them had photo missing, some mark lists missing etc., and those needed to be arranged from the photostat shops which fortunately were on campus. Also some applicants calculated their mark percentage wrongly and this also needed correction. This is not usually important but in case of a tie this can cause a loss of seat.

Due to above reason we cannot send any random guy there but only someone responsible. If someone volunteers surely we can do. Also, for general candidates whose rank is lower than 450 they can safely skip this. Last year they called till 600 I guess.

As per email from IITG a representative can handle maximum $2$ applications. So, this makes it tough for anyone to go. The cost for a person to go there, stay and return will be ranging from Rs. 10,000-15,000 depending on the place of starting.
