Consider an instance of TCP's AIMD algorithm where the window size at the start of slow start phase is 2MSS and the threshold at the start of the first transmission is 12MSS. Assume that a timeout occurs during the 7th transmission. The congestion window size at the end of the 12th transmission is_____(in MSS)

@Somoshree Datta 5 Could you please help 2 doubts of mine ?

1. Once the timeout occurs, we always go to 1 MSS, irrespective of what is the initial given in slow start phase ?

2. If congestion window size is 15 MSS, when the time out occurs, then next threshold would be taken as 7, right?

For me answer comes 9 using above two points.
