What is digital signature? How does it work?

Answer 1

A cryptographic security process which provides INTEGRITY,       AUTHENTICATION,    NON-REPUDIATION.

PROCESS:

When Sender sends the data  a hash function is used to sign the message and that is called message digest. Sender encrypt that message digest by using his PRIVATE KEY and receiver decrypt it using sender's PUBLIC KEY.

this is the basic working of digital signature..
