PROJECT ASSOCIATE I in the Supercomputer Education and Research Centre (SERC):

Educational Qualifications: MCA/BE/B.Tech (CS/IT) or Equivalent with First Class as declared by the University (Second Class in case of candidates belonging to ST), and

Experience: 1 year experience in Linux System Administration with domain-specific expertise in one or more areas

1. Linux with RHCE certification
2. Linux with HPC system admin experience (High-Performance Computing systems, Large scale distributed storage servers or Parallel file systems).

Number of Positions: 7 (Gen-4, EWS-1, OBC-1, ST-1), one of the positions is reserved for persons with disabilities.

Age Limit: 30 years. Admissible age relaxation for OBC, ST and PH will be extended.

Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- + HRA* for 1st and 2nd Year, Rs. 28,000/- + HRA* for 3rd and 4th Year and Rs. 42,000/- + HRA* during 5th Year.

Duration: The position are on contract and will be temporary for a period of ONE year and renewable annually for a maximum period of 5 years, based on the satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the authorities of the Institute.

Selection: Online Test and Online interview. The online test will be held first and candidates securing 15% above marks in the test, will be called for the online Interview, which will be conducted on the same day. The final selection will be only on the basis of the performance in the interview.

Also as per the interpretation of the options used for the answer key if either A or B option was true, then C will also be true. 2. https://gateoverflow.in/357422/gate-cse-2021-set-1-question-29 – Typo. Can be debated but ideally no change should happen (will adversely affect those who got this correct) and expected
3. https://gateoverflow.in/357496/gate-cse-2021-set-2-question-44 – Ambiguous. A;D and B;C must be given marks. Probability of success 50%. Explanation here
4. https://gateoverflow.in/357537/gate-cse-2021-set-2-question-3 – Ambiguous as the rule is violating C grammar and hence should be checked in syntax analysis phase. But the issue here is typedef needs to handled before this and this needs the power outside of CFG. The ambiguity here is whether syntax-analysis does this typedef check with limited CSG power or does syntax check gets pushed to semantic phase. Both are possible in practical implementation and so both should be given marks. More details. Probability of success 30%. (compiler people are hard to convince)

Guys, there is no post regarding the gate 2021 set 1. So i thought of creating one.

So guys start commenting and share your experience regarding the gate 2021 set 1.

I am an ECE graduate gave GATE CSE 2021. This was my second attempt, in gate 2020 CSE i got 1645 rank and 52 marks.

My experience:I was in set 1 and felt paper was a little lengthy just because of the MSQ's .i saw set 2 analysis also, it was moderate and not that tough as some people are saying,  questions were doable but yes, 100% agree  that paper for set 2 was very very lengthy.But people are comparing it with 2006 paper and that's really wrong. Anyone who has practiced gate ques from 2006 knows that how tough 2006 gate paper questions were.

I personally feel set 2 was tougher overall than set 1 but not to the extent these online discussions are talking about.

how much are you guys expecting ???

Hello Everyone...!! Mock Test 5 of GO Test Series 2021 will be live from tomorrow morning 6am until Wednesday evening 11:59pm for ranking purpose. Questions and answer keys will remain the same until Wednesday midnight and any wrong answer key will be Marks to All like in actual GATE.

There have been a lot of queries about GO book for GATE which was last made for GATE 2019. It'll be made for GATE 2021 and here is the expected schedule.

1. March 20: Pre-booking starts
2. May 20: Book starts shipping for those who preordered
3. June 1: Softcopy will be made available at http://book.gateoverflow.in -- same as the hardcopy
4. June 5: Book will be available from Amazon

Compared to the previous book, new one will have

1. Questions from GATE 2020 and 21
2. Fixes in answers and other typos
3. Answer key table for each subject in addition to answers
4. Classification of questions as per the new syllabus
5. Paper and printing quality remains the same as last one - Matte finish Art paper will be used which makes it look good and easier to use for a long time
6. Soft copy being available you can also print the book as you like

Just wanted to give some information on the GO Test series. Though about 200 people have registered for the tests, there have been less than 30 taken on average for tests. This shows that most of you are either postponing the tests or ignoring the subject tests.

1. Actually the questions in subject tests are made to ensure no topic or question type is left out
2. We have tried to include maximum twists in these questions so that it becomes easy in actual GATE
3. Dont get demotivated by the marks – even 30% is good enough as long as you are understanding the mistakes and on second attempt you can score 90% or more
4. Some people are scoring 80% or more in these tests and I hope them to make a top 30 rank in GATE.  
5. So if you are postponing the takes the distance between you and the toppers are just increasing

From now onwards the tests will be live on every Mondays. There have been very good debates and hoping for healthy discussions to continue. Questions won’t be getting easier at least until the full length mock tests – where we shall try to simulate the actual GATE.
