Fake Accounts

Question

Some people have been creating fake accounts here for liking their own answers and other mischievous stuffs .By next week all such accounts will be deleted and heavily penalized. If you do it yourself you can escape the penalty.

People didn't even LinkedIn alone. Made it just another social networking website.

And now GO. I mean, WHAT do they get by liking by their own answers !? Morale boost?

And even if they are so self affirming, and they really "like" their answer so much, why do they need to give it a "like", they could simply appreciate the answers, or more self-obsessed people can simply give themselves an standing ovation and tap themselves on the back. But still it remains to be explained that why do they "need" likes on their "answers". If the ultimate aim is not to help someone in need, why would you do that, GO wont pay you if you have more likes. Grow up kids :p

Indeed a required initiative.Last year end, some people were competing to be top user by giving lots of upvotes and downvotes.Even someone wrote a blog out of frustration about this when he/she got downvoted  unnecessarily.I checked some top user's profile at that time and i was shocked to see that how can some possibly vote on 70+ answers a day on regular basis(He/she used to vote every answer under the question:) )

One suggestion is dont give permissions to new users for upvoting and downvoting.This is what happens at stackexchange website.If i am a new user,then upvote/downvote will be recorded but wont be counted.

Rank? Money? and moreover Knowledge? Nothing... So please stop these creepy things.

i agree with rahul, arjun sir please increase the restrictions. It's little frustrating for new user but it maintains the discipline of the website. Some people are posting same question again and again, while some other are posting questions without latex. Imposing some strict guidelines will improve the content of the website.

I think 25% of GO accounts are fake.

nowadays, in GO it's become a chronic disease.

Nobody thinks that ADMINs are keeping a close eye on the activities, & they can see what is going on

Even gate rankers are also doing it.

I'm not naming anyone, but please don't do that

Good to see the reactions. Initially we didn't care of the accounts here, but when more fake accounts are being created we have to do so. Some genuine people also have multiple accounts here for many different reasons. All those will be merged soon. In GO everyone should use their time fruitfully.

-->  Give Permissions Based On Badges,Experience, like Gold etc ,

-->And Another is For Up Votes Give Restrictions to User Maximum Per Day 50Up Votes Thats will Other Knowledge User Gets Chance  by Best User/op User 

--> On Time Of Sign Up .Clearly Show What Do, What Dont  Before Sign Up ,Tick Terms Conditions After Go To Next Step

How people got 400+ points in a single day. Even Super Admin didn't score even 150. And on very next day of this blog, the same 'GENUINE' user got -844 (after this blog he/she downvoted his own answers ) :-P. Joke?

I got -844. It doesn't mean I used the fake account to get this. Why I do such things? for the monthly topper or something. I really don't need anything.

To overcome from the fake accounts the GO  administration  can  use a verification portal like "ADHAR LINKING"...........

It is Q/A site .Proper explanation should be our requirement.It's easy to get 100 of links if you search a topic in you tube .Its easy to get the link but its diificult to get the best explanation(which we expect from GO).Also the attached

video link is making the page long and nothing else.

I don't think that's an issue. Out of the 100 videos of which we may have missed someone could just could make us aware. And what's exactly the problem in the page being big? If you view it on any device other than a mobile phone, I think you can scroll that part off within a second.
