Gate Test Series 2023
I just subscribed to the Gate CSE 2024 mock test. I am unable to find the link to today’s test. The website seems quite confusing. I am going to appear for GO Classes Test Series 2024 | Mock GATE | Test 6 which actually happened last week. I don’t want to appear for tests late for competitive evaluation.

Please clarify below definitions: Implicant: An implicant, in the context of Boolean functions, is a product term that represents a group of minterms. It is a combination of literals (variables or their complements) that covers a specific set of ... set of rows in the truth table. Like implicants for minterms, cover terms are used to represent groups of maxterms.

Consider a system with 8 bit addresses and 16 byte pages. A process in this system has 4 logical pages, which are mapped to 3 physical frames in the following manner: logical page 0 maps to physical frame 2, page 1 maps to frame 0, page 2 ... Upon accessing the logical address 60, which physical address is eventually accessed by the system (after servicing any page faults that may arise)?

Consider a network with a ring topology, link bandwidths of 100 Mbps, and propagation speed 2 × 108 m/s. What would the circumference of the loop be to exactly contain one 1500-byte packet, assuming nodes do not introduce delay? What would the circumference be if there was a node every 100 m, and each node introduced 10 bits of delay?

MadeEasy Test Series 2024 - In this question they have asked about the number of context switches that are happening. (Excluding the first and the last context switch). I am getting the answer as 5, according to the answer key it should be 6. I am not pre-empting process P when Q arrives as P has a higher priority than Q, in the solutions they have done the exact opposite, can anyone please tell me whether my approach is correct or I am missing onto something.
