Is Disk Scheduling topic in OS is in syllabus?

Hello guys, I'm seeing a lot of questions on disk scheduling asked by various folks, but in GATE CS syllabus of OS - there's no topic as disk scheduling. So, please point me to the right direction where's the disk, sector seek time questions are coming?!

It comes under file system in OS and Secondary storage in computer organization, you have to study it. It has been asked in gate before also

If you open Galvin then it's written when book starts its part 4 "STORAGE MANAGEMENT":

The file system can be viewed logically as consisting of three parts.

It is simply chapter 10, 11 and 12th ones of 9th edition, Galvin- Operating System Concepts
