What was the cutoff of tifr 2017?

@shivani probably cutoff increased. During my time it was out of 160. They call for the interview on the basis of marks. If you have a low mark in the test, you need to perform exceptionally in the interview. 70-75% would be a safe score.

@ Arjun Sir Though their syllabus is subset of gate. But according to you what one should surely study or practice in order to score well.I know mathematics is one but apart from that.

Solve previous year TIFR papers. They have a beautiful pattern. Again like GATE they never repeat questions; but the topics remain the same. Anyone with good aptitude can clear TIFR if one solves their previous year papers on own.
