How much rank in GATE do I require to get software engineering MTECH in Jadavpur University Kolkata?

I think 2500-3000 rank you can get in JU....also calcutta university will also take admission for mtech....only join if you interested to do research from some qualified professor...placements will be mostly in service company(I think IBM kolkata or TCS recruits from there) and they will prefer btech candidates more....if you get better rank try for shibpur...

My gate score is 605 and rank is 1794. Btech cgpa 8.75. Any probability to get any mtech or ms in old iits? I think I should drop this year and avoid to travel ...
