The binary relation is symmetric and reflexive

A R B and B R A because b = d (Symmetric)

@sourav

I think it will be symmetric

Say

(1,2)R(1,4)

then (1,4)R(1,2)

is it not?

Yes it is symmetric only.

I was mistaken in seeing $  \text{a = c or b = d}  $ as $  \text{b = c or b = d}  $
