At Rs 20/kg  he is actually giving the customer 900gm.

For 900kg  he is actually giving the customer 900*900gm or 810Kg.

So he is giving Rs 90kg less to the customer overall as a result of which he is gaining 90kg *Rs 20/kg = Rs 1800
