Not the best way but I formed an equation and tried the options.

26.25 = (sum of 1st n natural numbers - x - x-1) / (n-2)

where the sum of 1st n natural numbers is n(n+1) / 2

x and x+1 are the two consecutive numbers subtracted from it.

n-2 because 2 numbers are removed from n.

After form equation then you randomly check using value of (n , x).

Answer should be 50.

If you are answering, at least include the solution in it. It is already known that the answer is 50.
