Just take sample tables, you can realise it

sorry i forgot to answer..

let make it simple lets put a FK to both sides. now, while we have done that u will notice that the fk(pk of many side) that has been kept on the one side of relation will result into a mvd(multi valued dependency) as one tuple(row) will have many values in the fk it has so we neglect this.

now coming to fk kept at many side. every row will have one value and there will be one to one relation u can say. so we prefer keeping the pk of one side to many side.

u can take the solution as this..
