Hello GO, I need little Help. 

See, I have been trying to prepare for GATE, I have already wasted my 1.5 Year (not college year) trying to make a STRATEGY, FINDING RESOURCES and all. I downloaded many books from here and there, from this website to and what to read PDF from Bikram sir. I want to prepare from free resources because of money issue, so no coaching things.  When I study from YT,  I feel like I am not learning by simply watching videos, my mind jumps from this video to that video and later I am left with Confusion.

Sometimes I go to GFG website and think I should follow this, sometimes textbook, sometimes this channel. Some say Don’t waste your time making notes, there are good notes out there already.

  And I am completely lost in this universe. I think My explanation is not clear, but in short  “ I am confused, there are so many resources and I don’t know what to do now and I’m stuck in this moment, feeling Depressed”. You can think of as a complete newbie.

Oh and I have more Questions like:

• How Much time should one take  to complete a subject?
• Should I study the free Made Easy notes ?
• How do I manage time? With college (currently 3rd year).(I don;t even use social media, or watch Garbage)

 

Please help me guys, I find no better site than this to ask for Help.

I am not a gate topper but i can suggest you something from my experience.

Gate is just like preparing for a year long long-trip so there are 2 ways:

1. Settling for a tour operator(Here the Gate coaching institutes), so just enjoy the tour(Study),and leave your lodging,food(tests,doubt-clearance) to them.
2. Preparing a blue print on your own checking all the local public transports available(Quality study materials on the internet).This is where the real dedication is tested.

So as you are saying option 1 ap afford nahi kar sakte, you should follow this:

• Read standard books,you’ll get all the details here(which books to follow), you’ll also get all GATE resources here: https://gatecse.in/
• Prepare your notes accordingly
• NPTEL videos are free just watch them patiently
• If there are doubts check standard universities explanations,search for slides of various IIT’s you’ll get them on internet

• Go classes is offering Discrete and Engineering maths free this year, so the maths part you can cover it in the ultimate depth there
• Finish 1 subject, do all the PYQ’s from the GO pdf, if doubt occurs, read each explanation 2-3 times. Many students have solved each PYQ by their unique way.
• Baki is website ko ache se use karna seekh jao, unlimited resources mil jainge

I don't think this is good option. Prepare your own notes. It will help.
