What are some common mistakes that you did while preparing for GATE ? (This question is for Repeaters who made  mistakes last time while preparing for GATE. It will help new aspirants to identify mistakes while preparation)

Few common mistakes which I think everybody knows but tend to forget while preparing –
1.  Trying to mug up tables/formula etc without knowing underlying reasoning.
2. Following sub-standard lectures/books which can give you misconceptions.
3. Not giving enough attention to PYQs i.e eagerly looking for solution rather than actually trying to solve the questions.
4. Postpone giving tests till Dec/Jan waiting for syllabus completion/perfection. (Remember what Jeetu Bhaiya said )
5. Giving tests just for the sake of marks, not for building concepts.
6. No revision
