In Go-Back-N protocol (with an ACK/NAK response time within three frame transmissions) there are constantly new frames to be transmitted. The frames are numbered with 3 bits and all numbers 0, 1, . . , 7 are used. The length of the transmission window is 2 (and the length of the receive window is 1 due to Go-Back-N). The first frame has the number 0. Errors occur in the 3rd and 9th transmission. Give the transmission window and receive window for the first 18 frames, and the numbering of the frames.

Sliding window, Go-Back-N protocol, All ack lost case
I understood that receiver will correctly discard the frames in GBN all ack lost case. But its given that its positive ack and hence receiver wont send ack for discarded frames.Wont the sender be sending the same frames again and again ... timeout as receiver will never send ack again? So how will the sender slide the window to the next frames?

In go back n arq, the reciever window size is 1 and the sender window size is let's suppose 3.Now if the sender sends the frames with sequence numbers in order 0,1,2 and the reciever sends cumulative acknowledgement with number 3 and now expects a ... order and sender must keep on time out and sending the frames again.plz explain how will this be resolved or am I missing something?

Why we need to wait for ACK in sliding window protocol in this specific question
I was going through this question; The link A-R is instantaneous , but the R->B link transmits only 1 packet each second , one at a time .
