in binary addition possible carry is 1. so we need only one extra bit

so,  sum of two 8bit binary number require 9 bit.

Addition of two 8 bit numbers atmax can be a 9-bit number. and There are total $2^8*2^8$ combination of additions possible.

So, Memory needed $= 2^8*2^8*9bit = 2^{16}*9bit$ (option A)
