The GO PDFs with just the previous year questions have more than 3000  questions which in itself should last a year assuming one solves 10 questions a day. After/while solving previous GATE questions one gets accustomed to how questions come in GATE. Then one can solve the exercise questions in standard textbooks avoiding really hard ones. Concentrating only on numerical is good for many objective exams; but not GATE. Though in GATE exam only numerical come; to answer them one may need to know the theory -- like one needs to know to construct a parse table to answer some parsing questions in Compiler. Then Aptitude is so important -- 15 marks so is Engineering Mathematics. In last few years, some tough questions have been asked in Aptitude and Mathematics more like used to be in CAT. Strictly avoid solving any practice questions which have grammatical mistakes. Also, no point in seeing how your fellow aspirants prepare; as far as I know there is no test which can tell this other than actual GATE. Usually, those who are used to previous year questions do well in tests because the questions are inherited from them- but in actual GATE many new standard questions come -- in some test series new questions come but they are usually not standard.

If you need more standard questions per subject, many are given here:

You may also use the questions on GO which are not previous years- most voted are usually better ones

Sir, basically I should not be concerned that how well my other competitors are preparing? I mean! given the fact that I started late(September) I sort of feel inferior when i see fellow aspirants keeps on getting more and more points, just because i am not as much well versed with subjects as they are. :(

When I went to IITB I met Ravi Shankar Mishra who got AIR 1 in 2015 and he told me that GO was pretty useful for him. And his points here was 0 :)
So, points here should not matter. How much others score in tests also should not matter. The only thing that matters is how much you know and you do not know. By the time of GATE you should be scoring 70+ and even now there are more than 70 days for GATE -- just get 1 mark per day :)
