A microprocessor provides an instruction capable of moving a string of bytes from one place to another in memory. The fetching and initial decoding of instruction takes 8 clock cycles. After that, it takes 10 clock cycles to transfer each byte. If the clock rate of microprocessor is 10GHz, then the time to transfer string of 80 bytes is __________(in nsec) (Assume after each byte transfer interrupt is occured)

My answer is 144.8 but the correct answer is 144. How did they come up with 144?

No brother it is 144, given in the answer key.

I think u should consider interrupt servicing time also after each byte.
