GATE Query

Question

Well i have a general query about gate well it is

 My college cgpa is 7.5/10  and if by luck i got  gate rank between AIR 0-50 will i get a direct admission in IIT Delhi in CSE Department or i have to go for a written test again.

and which IIT's gave direct admission at this CGPA

I am giving gate in cse stream

Why "by luck"?

After interviews most IITs have this criteria of 70% GATE and 30% interview and they might also consider B.Tech. marks. So, those who have exceptional B.Tech. CGPA are avoided the trouble of travel by giving direct admit. This happens for IITD and IITK. Only those 2 IITs have interviews for CSE, M.Tech. So, in all other IITs, 60% is more than enough for direct admit. You can see individual admission criteria from the respective IIT tab here- http://gatecselastrank.com .

So @arjun sir we can't get the direct admission in IIT delhi if our cgpa < 70 % ?

even though we are under 50 AIR.
