Number of addition and number of shift operation in multiplication of 7*3

if multiplication is done by

1) using add shift method
2) using booth algorithm

Comments

considering 4 bits representation.

(i)- 2 add, 4 shift

(ii)- 1 add, 1 sub, 4 shift
