GATE CSE 1992 | Question: 12-b
Let the page reference and the working set window be $c\ c\ d\ b\ c\ e\ c\ e\ a\ d\ $ and $4$, respectively. The initial working set at time $t=0$ contains the pages $\{a,d,e\}$, where $a$ ... at time $t=-2$. Determine the total number of page faults and the average number of page frames used by computing the working set at each reference.

Confusion in effective memory access
Let the page fault service time be 10ms in a computer with average memory access time being 20ns. If one page fault is generated for every 10^6 memory accesses, what is the effective access time for the memory? We can solve the above ... in gate, both uses different formulae, pls explain in detail what is the difference among them, I found them as similar.
