Intro to Automata theory by Ullman Exercise 2nd
Exercise 2.2.8: Let A be a DFA and a particular input symbol of A, such that for all states q of A we have delta(q,a) = q. A) Show that for all n >= 0, Delta cap(q, a^n) = q. where a^n is the string consisting of n a's. note delta = δ and delta cap = δˆ.

Kurose and Ross || Link Layer and Local Area Networks
Suppose that a wireless link layer using a CSMA-like protocol backs off 1ms on average. A packet's link and physical layer headers are always set at the same bitrate and take a total of 125us to transmit. If a packet is sent ... up by backoff and link/physical layer headers. Can someone help me out and explain the solution. I'm stuck here.

Kurose and Ross Chapter 4th Network Layer Problem 16
Q: Suppose an application generates chunks of 40 bytes of data every 20 msec, and each chunk gets encapsulated in a TCP segment and then an IP datagram. What percentage of each datagram will be overhead, and what percentage will be application data? Please someone who knows explain also. Thanks in adv. - Madhav.

Kurose and Ross 5th edition Chapter 5 Problem 27
Calculate the store and forward delay at a single ATM switch for a link rate of R = 155 Mbps for L = 1500 bytes, and for L = 48 bytes. Note: ATM uses 53-byte packets consisting of 5 header byte and 48 payload byte. almost 10% of bandwidth is"wasted" by the ATM header. thanks in advance and I'm open to discuss. Madhav

Trouble solving CSMA/CA numerical. help?
Suppose that you have two nodes communicating with an AP that are hidden terminals to one another. The AP, except for acknowledgments, remains silent and there are no other transmitters in the network. The two nodes are both ... transmitting at exactly the same time, what is the minimum number of backoffs before a packet is delivered successfully?

Help me solve this networking numerical
Quoted: At the start of every second, a train of 100 bits arrive to a queue at rate 1000 bits/second. The departure rate from the queue is 500 bits/second. The queue is served bit-by-bit, and you can assume the buffer size is infinite. a) What is the average queue occupancy? (in bits) Note: Enter an integer.

I'm getting trouble to solve this Computer Network Numerical #Congestion #Packetization
Quoted Question: "Suppose you have a network with an RTT of 100ms and a packetization delay of 1ms for a maximum sized TCP segment of 1.4kB. You are using TCP Tahoe. The initial congestion window is 2 ... ; is the time before the first data byte is sent. Do not consider teardown." Thanks in advance.
