if there is just one seat left and there are multiple applicants with same gate score then how is priority decided where admission is based on purely score bases (no written test/interview) ?

let's say there is one seat remaining and since there can be multiple students with the same rank and gate score then how is that seat filled if there are two or more applicants?

It depends on each individual department taking the admission. Some may take B.Tech CGPA and in case of a tie even then, consider +2 percentage.
