The digital logic shown in the figure satisfies the given state diagram when $Q_{1}$ is connected to input $A$ of the XOR gate.

Suppose the XOR gate is replaced by an XNOR gate. Which one of the following options preserves the state diagram?

  1. Input A is connected to $\overline{Q 2}$
  2. Input A is connected to $Q 2$
  3. Input A is connected to $\overline{Q 1}$ and $S$ is complemented
  4. Input A is connected to $\overline{Q 1}$

Sir here why can’t option D be correct ? Because if we connect A to Q1’ because Q1’ is same as Q1 followed by a NOT Gate and a NOT just before XNOR at only one input point will give us XOR Gate and this connection will lead to exactly same configuration as stated in question on connecting Q1 to A followed by XOR Gate.
