@Arjun Sir @ManojK Sir, Please correct me if i am wrong.

In question 68, Option C can also be right

Option  C. is a piece of code which only a finite number of processes execute

My Reasoning:

here in this option it is not given that all processes execute at the same time. And critical section is a place which is accessed by all the processes.

And i feel that finite number of processes execute is also right as there can't be a case where a computer system executes infinite number of processes.

in my opinion option a assumes that we are implementing mutual exclusion property in a piece of code and then that piece of code is called critical section.

But there are other properties which are taken care of in critical section such as mutual exclusion, race round.

What i am trying to say is that option a is a property of critical section not the complete defination.

please tell me if it is ambiguous or i am interpreting it wrong way.

What will be the excepted cut off?? any idea.

It is just the definition of critical section -- it cannot be executed by more than one process.

@Arjun Sir, I need an advice.

I did a silly mistake i thought that answer to question can't be that simple so i opted for other option.

Sir, I do these types of mistakes frequently. When a simple question is asked , i think that answer can't be straightforward there must be a twist. And because of this i choose other option than the correct one.

In Last year's  isro paper a simple question was asked on 2's complement and i choose the wrong option. And i was exactly 4 marks short of cutoff.

Sir how can i reduce or rather completely eliminate these types of mistakes. Any suggestions.

@Srinivas If I ask you "what is your name" - I don't think you will ever say wrong. So, you should know the reason :)

They corrected all mistakes in the revised key. Unlike 2016, now their revised key is 100% perfect :)
